Scope

These terms apply to purchases made through tatrahold.com by consumers in Slovakia and the other countries of the European Union, and to deliveries to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Our refund policy, shipping policy and privacy policy form part of these terms.

Orders and contract

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. We may decline an order if a piece is unavailable or if it cannot be delivered to your address.

The final button in the checkout is labelled to make clear that placing the order carries an obligation to pay. If you pay through PayPal, the wording of PayPal's own button is set by PayPal; the obligation to pay arises in the same way.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in euro and are final — the seller is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added or shown separately. Shipping is added at checkout and shown before you confirm the order.

Payment is currently accepted through PayPal. Available payment methods are always shown at checkout.

Personalised pieces

Engraved and personalised pieces are made to your specification. You may change the text until you approve the preview email, which we send within 12 hours of ordering. Once approved, the piece goes into production and the statutory right of withdrawal no longer applies to it, as set out in our refund policy.

Delivery

Delivery times and rates are set out in our shipping policy. For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duty and import tax may be charged in the destination country and are paid by the recipient; they are not included in the price or the shipping rate. Risk of damage passes to you when you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods.

Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days, and consumers in the United Kingdom have an equivalent right to cancel. For deliveries to Switzerland, the United States and the United Arab Emirates no statutory right of withdrawal applies. We add a voluntary 30-day return policy on top, and that one applies wherever we deliver. The two are separate; the details, exceptions and procedure are set out in our refund policy.

Liability for defects

We are liable for defects the goods had on delivery and which appear within at least 24 months of you receiving them (§ 619 of the Civil Code). In some EU countries the statutory period is longer, and the longer period then applies.

Report a defect to Info@tatrahold.com. We confirm the report in writing and remedy the defect within 30 days of it being reported, unless we agree a longer period with you.

In addition we give a voluntary 12-month commercial warranty against manufacturing defects, described in the refund policy. It does not limit or replace your statutory rights.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Complaints and dispute resolution

Write to Info@tatrahold.com. If we reject your request for redress or do not reply within 30 days, you may submit the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution body within one year:

To report a safety concern or an incident involving one of our products, write to Info@tatrahold.com. This is our reporting channel under Article 9(11) of Regulation (EU) 2023/988.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. Under Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I), this does not deprive you as a consumer of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published at the time you place your order.
