A small piece of furniture designed to hold a wristwatch upright when you take it off at the end of the day. Each stand is made in the Tatra region of Slovakia from a single premium matte polymer, offered in five colours — Graphite, Ceramic, Sand, Stone and Olive. The form is minimal by intent: the object should read as furniture, not as a gadget.

Every TatraHold stand fits case sizes 34–46 mm and strap widths up to 22 mm. This covers 95% of dress and sport watches — Rolex, Omega, Cartier, Tudor, Seiko, and most microbrand pieces. For unusual cases (large 50 mm dive watches, panda-strap combinations), write us before ordering and we'll confirm fit.

Solitaire is a single stand for one watch — buy several and arrange them freely. Duo and Quatro are one sculpted piece with two or four cradles built in: a lower price per watch, a fixed arrangement. Valet Tray and Valet Tray Duo add a catch-all tray for keys, coins and rings under the cradle. Display Rack Four and Display Rack Summit are dual-tier statement pieces for four or six watches — the collector centrepiece.

Both. Alongside the watch stands and valet trays we make desk objects: a pen and phone organiser and two sculpted busts — Julius Caesar and Marcus Aurelius — that hold pens, cards and a phone. Filter the shop page by Desk objects to see them.

Not currently. We make eleven standardised pieces to keep quality consistent, and personalise the Nameplate stand with engraving. A wider bespoke programme will open once production allows.

Premium PLA (polylactic acid), sourced from a European mill. It is a plant-based polymer rather than a petroleum plastic — non-toxic, dimensionally stable indoors, and dense enough to feel like a solid object in the hand. Every piece is hand-finished to a deep matte that catches light the way stone does. The busts use a mineral-loaded marble variant of the same polymer.

They describe the finish, not a different material. Graphite is a deep matte black. Ceramic is a warm bone white. Sand is a soft desert beige. Stone is a mineral grey. Olive is a muted green. Dark Marble and Light Marble, used on the busts, are veined stone-look finishes. All are the same premium matte polymer, hand-polished the same way.

Kept indoors and away from direct sunlight, no. The colour runs through the material rather than sitting on the surface as a coating, so it cannot chip or peel. Prolonged direct sun is the one thing to avoid — a windowsill in full afternoon light will dull any matte finish over the years.

It resists everyday desk use — placing and removing a watch, brushing against fabric, occasional dust. It is not chemical-resistant. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, hairspray, essential oils, and anything with solvents. A soft dry cloth is all it needs.

Yes. The cradle is engineered to hold cases up to 46 mm and strap-plus-case weights up to 250g without tipping. This includes Rolex Submariner, Tudor Black Bay, Omega Seamaster, Seiko Turtle, and most 44 mm dive watches.

The base PLA is food-safe certified for indoor use and contains no BPA, phthalates, or heavy metals. However, TatraHold objects are not toys and are not designed for use by children under 3.

Yes. We use industrial-grade 3D printers (Bambu Lab X1 and Prusa MK4) at 0.12 mm layer height in a small studio in the Tatra region of Slovakia. 3D print is our craft technique — it lets us offer the whole colour range from one studio at one price, which no traditional workshop can match. Every piece is hand-finished after printing: sanded, matte-polished, tolerance-checked, and stamped with its batch number underneath.

Print time varies by form. Solitaire: 6 hours. Duo: 9 hours. Quatro: 14 hours. Valet Tray: 8 hours. Display Rack Summit: 22 hours. Add 20–30 minutes of hand-finishing per piece. We batch 24 pieces per month across the whole colour range.

At 30+, quality control starts to drift — hand-finishing suffers, tolerance checks become rushed, and consistency across a batch drops. Twenty-four is the number at which we can maintain the standard we set for ourselves. Slower on purpose.

In the Tatra region of Slovakia — the alpine north of the country. We keep the exact address private for security and focus reasons, but the studio is a small workshop with a print bay, a finishing bench, and a packing station.

Not currently. Once operations stabilise, we may open a workshop-visit day for confirmed collectors — subscribe to the notebook to hear about it first.

When you order an engraved piece, you receive a preview email within 12 hours showing the exact text placement and typography on your specific piece. Only after you approve it does production begin. This ensures the engraving is exactly as you want before the piece is committed.

Yes — email us within 24 hours of your second order and we'll ship them together, refunding the second shipping charge. Orders placed more than 24 hours apart cannot be combined (they enter different batch cycles).

Not currently as a paid add-on. Every piece ships in a kraft paper wrap with a handwritten card if you request one at checkout — no extra charge. A dedicated gift-wrap service will follow.

Total time from order to delivery: 5–12 business days depending on destination. Production (3–7 days) plus shipping (2–5 days). Solitaire Stands ship fastest; Display Rack Summits take longest. Engraved pieces add 24 hours to production.

All 27 EU member states, and outside the EU the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. We do not ship anywhere else. Across the European Union parcels go with GLS; outside the EU the tracking email names the carrier that covers your destination.

Free on orders of €60 or more — everywhere we ship: Slovakia, the rest of the European Union, and the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Below €60: Slovakia €3.99 standard or €6.99 express, everywhere else €16.00. Orders outside the EU may also be charged customs duty and import tax on arrival, which the recipient pays.

You'll receive a tracking email within 24 hours of the batch completing (typically 3–7 days after ordering). Within the European Union the tracking works with GLS's live tracker; outside the EU the email names the carrier that covers your destination.

30 days from delivery. The piece must be unused, in original packaging, and undamaged. Engraved pieces cannot be returned as they are made specifically for you. You pay the cost of sending the piece back; the exact rules are in our refund policy. Refund processed within 5 business days of receiving the returned piece.

Send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery. We ship a replacement immediately (no need to return the damaged one — we'll ask you to recycle or dispose of it responsibly). Our warranty covers manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery.

A soft dry microfiber cloth is all that’s needed for routine dust. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with water only. No chemical cleaners, no alcohol, no essential oils, no polishes. Store away from direct sunlight and heat above 60°C.

Yes — TatraHold repairs any of our pieces for as long as you keep them, at material cost only (usually €5–15). If your piece cracks, chips, or breaks from normal use, ship it back and we'll return a restored piece within two weeks.

TatraHold is a small independent studio. We prefer to keep the focus on the objects rather than the maker, but if you're interested in the story, the About page has the full context.

Three differences. First: range — we make every object in five colours from one studio, so a whole desk can be furnished as a set. Amazon and Etsy sellers typically offer one finish each. Second: hand-finishing — every piece is sanded, polished, tolerance-checked by hand, not shipped straight from the printer. Third: intent — we make watch stands as small furniture, not as accessories. The objects are designed to belong on the same desk as a leather wallet, a book, and a ceramic bowl.
